Love - Emmet Fox

"There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer, no disease that enough
love will not heal; no door that enough love will not open; no gulf that enough
love will not bridge; no wall that enough love will not throw down; no sin that
enough love will not redeem...it makes no difference how deeply seated may be the
trouble; how hopeless the outlook; how muddled the tangle; how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all. If only you could love enough
you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world."

Treatment - OVERCOMING FEAR ~ Joseph Murphy

There is no fear, as "perfect Love casteth out fear." Today I permit Love to keep
me in perfect harmony and peace with all levels of my world. My thoughts are loving,
kind, and harmonious. I sense my oneness with God, for "In Him I live, move, and
have my being."
I know that all my desires will be realized in perfect order. I trust the Divine
Law within me to bring my ideals to pass. "The Father doeth the works." I am divine,
spiritual, joyous, and absolutely fearless. I am now surrounded by the perfect peace
of God; it is "The peace of God which passeth all understanding." I now place all
my attention on the thing desired. I love this desire and I give it my whole-hearted
attention.
My spirit is lifted into the mood of confidence and peace; this is the spirit of
God moving in me. lt gives me a sense of peace, security, and rest. Truly, "perfect
Love casteth out fear."

The Highest Consciousness (Christ) cannot enter into the disciple who omits love
from his aims, even though he be an adept in works of healing and in miracles.
This is enlarged upon by Paul in his wonderful discourse upon Love (1 Cor. xiii).
He there reveals that one could have the greatest eloquence, and yet, not having
love, be only like a beautiful musical instrument, without any life in itself.

One may have metaphysical knowledge so as "to understand all mysteries"; one may
have a faith that could heal case after case, "moving mountains," and yet if he
is neglecting to develop the love-nature, these powers will fail him, and he will
need to return to the simplest study of the life of love in order to enter into
that joy of his Lord to which his heart is aspiring.

It is prophesied (Joel ii:28) that "it shall come to pass in the last days that
I will pour out

my spirit upon all flesh." Already a mighty spiritual wave is rolling over us, and
increasing rapidly in volume and power, and as a result we may begin to look for
great and wonderful works upon all sides. But unless these signs be accompanied
with that love that thinketh no evil, they will count for nothing to the discerning
Truth student.

Love will be the great test; the love that is no respecter of creeds or sects, that
judges no man and comes not to condemn the world, but that the world through it
might be saved.

Love is the Way.
Love is the Door, and no man can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven but by Love.

Realization Is The Key ~ Emmet Fox

There is a big difference between what you really believe, and what you think you
ought to believe, or what you want to believe. You demonstrate what you really believe.
The other ideas do not demonstrate. If, some day, you do come to believe them, they
will then demonstrate, or come into effect in your life-but not before.

It is not much use saying that you know that a thing will not hurt you if you only
know it intellectually. If you realize even slightly that it cannot hurt you, the
case is different, but just saying in a perfunctory way that a thing cannot hurt
you is not enough.

It is not enough to say that you will be all right, unless you believe it. It is
not enough to say that God will take care of you, unless you realize and believe
what you are saying, to at least a small degree.

The sole object of spiritual treatment is to increase your realization of the truth
which you already accept; namely that God can and will protect you from all harm,
and that fear and error have no power when you yourself do not give it to them.

"Nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10: 19.

There isn't a thing in the world that has ever been done, there is not a thing in the world that ever will be done, that first is not a thought or an idea. If an
architect builds a skyscraper, he must first have the idea of the type of building, then draw the blueprint, before it can be constructed, But he had to have the idea, and the idea is what comes into effect. The thing that is so marvelous for all of us, and so simple, is the fact that you can always choose your ideas. What kind of life would you have? Tell me your life, and I'll tell you what you have been thinking. That applies to each and every one of us. You can always choose your own thought, your blueprint of the life you are building for yourself.

No body else can choose it for you. That very simple fact - that you have free choice of thought - is really dynamite.
It is the answer to your regeneration or degeneration. Nobody else can make your choice for you. Nobody can change your thinking for you.
You can listen to me, you can listen to every metaphysical teacher in the world, read every book on the subject, but you have to do it for yourself.
I could invite you to my home for dinner, cook you a wonderful meal, serve it to you most beautifully - but I couldn't eat or digest it for you! 
We come to the realization that thought is the clue to the whole secret. In the beginning we start by deliberately changing our thoughts to change our lives in certain degrees and in certain things, and in the end we use our thought as a purely transcendent possession; not only to change our lives, but to create for ourselves and others the good that is spiritually our divine heritage.

John tells us, "In the beginning was the Word." John 1: 1 What is the Word? The Word is the idea, the thought. 'In the beginning was the Idea,
and the Idea was with God and the Idea was God.' The Idea, being God's was the Perfect
Thought, and so manifested its perfection. If the idea had been imperfect, it would have manifested an imperfect projection; like attracts like.
Whatever you think with conviction, whatever you really believe in with conviction,  that you will demonstrate or experience in your life. There is no doubt of that. For instance, if you want to raise roses in your garden, and you plant carnation seeds, you are not going to get roses. You will get carnations. If you want carrots and plant lettuce seeds, you will not get carrots, but lettuce. And so it is on every plane of life. Like attracts like.
The key to freedom lies in your hands. Could there be a greater gift? I don't know of any. Yet how seldom we discover it, and even less seldom use it!

One way of examining your own thoughts - forerunners of the conditions you are bringing into your life - is to realize that you can think only two types of thoughts; positive, constructive thoughts, or fearful, negative thoughts. Everything else stems from that. You know, some people are constantly afraid; they are suspicious, jealous, worried, critical. These are all fear thoughts. So the thing you will learn to do is to get over to the positive side - the constructive
side of life, and stay there. It requires training. Not any more than it would to study a new language or to learn to play a musical instrument. But it does need training and practice.

Always remember the type of thoughts you have been thinking not only manifest in your life as the sort of thing that happens to you, but they manifest in your personality and your physical body as well.

The Law of Love ~ Fletcher Harding

The Great Teacher told us to turn in the simplicity of a child to the love of God, and, in complete faith, accept life as a thing of joy. More than anything else, he showed us that the real Law is a law of love because God is love; that the real Law is a law of liberty because God is boundless freedom; that the real Law of our life is a law of giving and receiving because the eternal circuits of cause and effect always swing back upon themselves.

Realizing that God is love, I open my whole consciousness to this Divine Love, knowing that it flows through me and animates everything I am and everything I do. Realizing that God is the Great Giver, I open my whole consciousness to receive every gift of heaven. And realizing that God is the Great Forgiver, I joyously forgive myself and everyone else. I absolve myself and all others from any previous mistakes.

And realizing that I live in a universe of law and order, I carefully refrain from all unjust judgment or unkind criticism or condemnation, and open my whole consciousness to the influx of that Divine Forgivingness which forever more blesses everyone and everything. 
As I feel the Divine Presence all around me, so do I feel it around others. All the yesterdays, with their many mistakes, depart from me and from my thought of others. And this moment in which I live brings to me, and to everyone upon whom my thought rests, a deep sense of a new hope, a greater power, a higher good.  As I turn to the Eternal Heart of Love I feel the enveloping presence of infinite peace and joy. And feeling this infinite glory around me, I turn to the whole world--to those whom I know and those who are unknown to me--and bless and love and give, because I know that the Eternal Heart beats in all creation, in every person, and that the Eternal Goodness flows through all. 

Regardless of news reports about conflict or unrest around the globe, let us hold to our faith the promise of peace for our planet. Let us affirm the power and presence of Divine Life and Love for all areas compromised by war, abuse, terror, neglect or forces of nature, and to all nations and communities affected by such conditions.

"To set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." Romans 8:6.

CONSCIOUS USE OF LAW GIVES POWER - Fletcher Harding

We should not be afraid of this Law of Liberty. Like every other law in nature, it is here to be used. And the conscious use of any law gives us a greater power than the unconscious use of it. We should have implicit confidence in this Law because it is absolute. It contains complete freedom for any individual who uses it. When enough persons use it consciously and constructively, it will provide a lesson for others that they may eagerly search for the truth and follow the example of those who have found it. When the whole world uses this Law of Liberty rightly, as it sometime must, then the world will be redeemed from its history.

But you and I, as individuals, cannot wait for the majority of people to come to understand this. We must begin to apply it at once in our own lives, being certain that nothing ever goes from our minds which would hurt anyone or anything. We must know with certainty that when we practice the Divine Presence and use the Law of Good constructively, we shall finally be redeemed from the errors of our previous experience. Love is the sole force which is irresistible. We must come to understand that both the Divine Presence, as a living, warm, colorful, loving, animating essence, and the Law of Liberty, as the great, only and final power in the universe, are to be found, and found only, at the center of our own being. This is why the-Bible says, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." (Proverbs 23:7) This is the greatest single revelation that can ever come to any person's mind: God is right where I am, and the whole of the Law of Good is at my disposal.

Stake Your Claim

Ken from New York writes: A number of years ago one of the New Thought churches began a "Look for Good" campaign. It was an election year, and the concept was  to promote the idea to look for good in the politicians, speaches, TV appearances, and advertisements.To ignore accusations and general negativity that often escalates as campaigns move forward.  This concept of looking for the good can go beyond the political, and extend into our everyday life. Emmet Fox reminded us when we give our attention to  seeing the good, we can truly change our lives, and the lives of those around us.

The End Is Secured

The course of our life depends on the decisions and choices we make. Sometimes it appears that the immediate consequences of a decision are not to our best advantage, but when we look back later we realize that everything really did work out for our greatest good. Judge Thomas Troward in The Edinburgh Lectures on Mental Science explains it this way, "But suppose, when we reach a point where some momentous decision has to be made, we happen to decide wrongly? On the hypothesis that the end is already secured you cannot decide wrongly." That is indeed a startling statement, yet if we examine it closely we can understand his spiritual logic. There is a Divine Intelligence operating through the mind of every person and that intelligence is all-knowing. When we establish a goal in mind and believe that it will come to pass, then this Intelligence takes over and directs us into the right action necessary to get the job done. Certainly we avoid any rash action which goes
against our better judgment, but we can be certain that the choices we are called upon to make will be made toward our best interests once our objective is firmly planted in our mind. We then can release any feelings of anxiety and worry, knowing that we are guided and directed into right decisions.

All decisions I am called upon to make today are already made in the Mind of God, and I quietly and confidently receive them as they are needed.
