HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Happy 2022
December - January Emmet Fox E-Zine
"I wonder if the snow loves the
trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up
snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings,
till the summer comes again." Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland)
Peace, the Miracle Worker -
Emmet Fox
REGENERATION MEANS BUILDING A NEW MENTALITY; that is,
creating a new soul in place of your present one. It does not mean merely
improving your present self - it means producing (through the power of God, of
course), a new self. If you do this, everything else in your life will rapidly
change for the better. Your health will improve. Your appearance will improve
because, as you know, the body is but the reflection of the soul. The world
around you will be changed because you will be seeing it through a new and
better personality. Other people will become much more attractive and friendly
to you, and this will be because your soul will be filled with peace, and
therefore you will radiate peace, and other people will get it intuitively.
Everybody likes peace and harmony and they are attracted to any source from
which it comes.
If your heart really is filled with peace "nothing
shall by any means hurt you." But, of course, your heart must be filled with
peace and to bring this about you must desire it more than anything else. This
will mean forgiving everyone and harboring good will toward all. Naturally you
cannot radiate peace if you do not first possess it within yourself. You cannot
radiate anything from the outside. To radiate any quality, that quality must be
within yourself. Hypocrites sometimes try to radiate qualities which they do not
possess or feel, but they always fail to get results in a very short time. True
peace of mind is the short cut to regeneration which requires a fundamental
change in ourselves. The Master said, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give
unto you.
Meditation
God dwells at the center of my
being. God is Peace; this Peace enfolds me in Its Arms now. There is a deep
feeling of security, vitality, and strength underlying this peace. This inner
sense of peace, in which I now dwell, is the Silent Brooding Presence of God.
The Love and the Light of God watch over me, as a loving. mother watches over
the sleeping child. Deep in my heart is the Holy Presence that is my peace, my
strength, and my source of supply. All fear has vanished. I see God in all
people; I see God manifest in all things. I am an instrument of the Divine
Presence. I now release this inner peace; it flows through my entire being
releasing and dissolving all problems; this is the peace that passeth
understanding. (Joseph
Murphy ~ The Quiet Mind))
“Write it on your heart that
every day is the best day in the year.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson
When You Want Peace
Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy
palaces. Psalms 122:7
"When you want peace of mind-get away from things,"
counseled Emmet Fox, "and dwell upon the Presence of God instead." Your palace
is your own consciousness. The walls spoken of in this Bible verse are
invisible, but just as real as any stone wall. Your walls are your convictions
of
Truth which protect you from the negative suggestions
that are broadcast all around you. Have a conviction of peace, entertain ideas
of peace, seek to be a peace-giver to your world. God does not withhold your
good, but neither does He force any good upon you. Instead, you must cultivate
within yourself the equivalent of what you desire to be made manifest in your
life, whether it is peace, joy, prosperity, health, advancement, or whatever
good you seek.
First, know that it is your birthright to claim your
good. Second, prepare for that good by building the equivalent of the good you
seek into your own consciousness. Third, be grateful for the good you seek even
before you receive it. As you practice these steps, you will have peace and
prosperity within the walls of your own consciousness. Affirm now with feeling:
I prepare for my good by being grateful for it now.

You Have The Gift - Rev.
Jo-Ann
The power to be what you want to be, to get what you
desire, to accomplish whatever you are striving for, abides within you. Every
man wants to get out of the rut, to grow, to develop into something better.
Truth is the open road. Open to you whether you have training, schooling,
position, wealth or not. The way is always open for the determined soul, the man
of faith and courage.
A highly magnetized piece of steel will attract and
lift a piece of unmagnetized steel ten times its weight. Demagnetize that same
piece of steel and it will be powerless to attract or lift the weight of a
feather. The same applies to the man who is highly magnetized by faith in
himself and God, and the man who is de-magnetized by his lack of faith, his
doubts and his fears. If two men of equal ability, one magnetized by divine self
confidence, the other demagnetized by fear and doubt, are given similar tasks,
one would succeed and the other would fail. The self confidence of the one
multiplies his power a hundred fold, the lack of it subtracts it a hundred fold.
How important then that we have faith in ourselves and in the infinite
intelligence within. "in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy
paths."
So don’t let lack of training, lack of education, hold
you back. The apostles were almost all poor men, yet they did a work that is
unequaled in historical annals. Joan of Arc was unable to read or write, yet she
saved France. So it isn’t training and it isn’t education that makes you
successful. These help, but the thing that really counts is knowing that we are
eternally one with the infinite source and in nature we are the image and
likeness of the Eternal as it expresses in living form. "I and my Father are
one."
A long time ago Emerson wrote: "There is one Mind
common to all individual men. Every man is an inlet to the same, and to all of
the same." The wisdom of Solomon the skill of Michelangelo, the genius of
Edison, the daring of Napoleon, all these things and more are within you. You
have the gift. God never made a failure or a nobody. He offers to the highest
and the lowest alike, all that is necessary for
happiness and success. The difference is entirely in the extent to which each of
us avails himself of the gifts within.
Start something! Give your mind something to work at.
Set a goal. When Jesus adjured His disciples “whatsoever ye desire, when ye
pray, believe that ye receive it,” he was not only telling them a great truth,
but he was teaching excellent psychology as well. For it is through “belief”
that formless energy is compressed into material form.
Galileo looked at the moon and knew that some day he
might reach it. The telescope was the fruition of that belief. Watt believed in
what could be done with steam, and great locomotives and engines resulted from
that belief. We bemoan the loss of our forests. We worry over dwindling oil. But
the greatest waste of all is the waste of our own God powers slumbering within.
You need not be unhappy, you need not be poor and you
need not be unsuccessful. You are one of the Lords of the earth, with unlimited
potentialities. You are one with God whose nature is love, wisdom, knowledge,
understanding, power, life and joy. These are called the inherencies of God, and
you inherit these by nature of your oneness with God.
You have the gift. Use it. The power is there, but you
must use it. It is around you like the air you breathe. You don’t expect others
to do your breathing for you. Neither can you expect them to develop your gifts
for you. Start today by knowing that "greater is He that is within you than he
that is in the world."
Stake Your Claim
You can have true success and happiness in life if you consistently put these truths into practice in your daily living. It is your God - given duty to Stake Your Claim to peace, poise, power, prosperity and health - and God expects you to be satisfied with nothing less. (Herman Wolhorn)

“The New Year is a painting not yet painted; a path not yet stepped on; a wing not yet taken off! Things haven’t happened as yet! Before the clock strikes twelve, remember that you are blessed with the ability to reshape your life!” ―Mehmet Murat ildan
Let us make this holiday season, along
with the outer activities in which we are engaged, a time of re-birth of the
Christ Spirit of love in our heart and mind. We return to God the priceless gift
of our love and gratitude when we make our life a testimony of joyous and happy
living. As we enrich ourselves with the words of Emmet Fox, and the other
wonderful Truth teachers, the Christ Spirit of love will be reborn in us.
Our gift of gratitude and love to Him will then be returned to us as blessings.
A happy and blessed New Year to you and yours!
